21ST CENTURY HUMAN QUESTIONNAIRE

1. What's your name? How old are you? How would you describe yourself?
  my name's spencer and i'm 19. i'm just some kid who spends too much time on the internet.

2. What was your upbringing like?
  i'd say average, but honestly idk what average actually is. i grew up in a canadian suburb with my mum, dad, older sister, family cat, family dog, and a live-in nanny. my parents hired a nanny when i was around 3 'cause both of them had full-time jobs to support us and needed to make sure my sister and i were taken care of. we stopped having a nanny when i was 8 and we moved to a different city.

3. What are your hobbies? How do you like to spend your free time?
  most of my hobbies are art-related. i like to draw (but don't do it nearly enough as i'd like to) and i also like coding. i'm a theatre nerd and have been doing theatre for the past few years. i also love collecting things like dvds, cds, books, figurines, and plushies. i spend most of my time watching youtube or tv, listening to music, and usually i'm online in one way or another.

4. What kind of music do you like?
  i like a lot of genres! my main genres are indie, rock, and contemporary musical theatre, but some other genres i like are nu-metal, classic country, 80s pop, electronic hyperpop, and orchestral.

5. Favorite movies / TV shows?
  favourite tv show of all-time (for better or worse) is supernatural. some of my all-time favourite movies are little miss sunshine, austin powers: international man of mystery, and clue.

6. Do you like any video games?
  i don't play a lot of video games, but some favourites are stardew valley, most mario games, and project sekai - if you count mobile games as video games.

7. Favorite literature? This could be a novel, a book series, a comic, etc.
  my favourite novel is the perks of being a wallflower, my favourite play is much ado about nothing, and my favourite graphic novel series is the adventure zone.

8. How has art affected your life?
  it basically defines it. idk who i'd be without art.

9. What are your hopes for the future of humanity?
  i'm a bit pessimistic about it, but i'm trying my best to be optimistic.

10. Any hopes or aspirations for your own future?
  i'd like to be happy.

11. If sentient extraterrestrial life were to exist, what would you want to tell them about humanity?
  that we mean well.

12. Do you currently have / have you had any pets or livestock?
  right now my family has a dog and 2 cats, but in total (including the 3 pets i have right now) we've had 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 fish.

13. How do you hope people remember you?
  i hope i'm remembered as who i was.

14. Do you have any advice for younger people?
  i think i'm too young to be giving any advice.

15. Are you religious?
  never been and idk if i'll ever be. i was raised around catholism but it never stuck. 

16. What do you think the meaning of life is?
  i'm not sure.

17. Do you have any fears?
  too many.

18. What makes you happy?
  my family, my friends, animals.

19. What kind of food do you like to eat?
  i like to eat lots of different food, but my favourites tend to be carbs.

20. Do you have a favorite animal?
  cats! i love most animals but cats hold a special place in my heart.

21. Do you have a favorite color?
  it's changed a lot throughout my life, but right now my favourites are green, purple, and pink.

22. What do you wish you had known earlier?
  that i can ask for help.
