Kris MacConall is a self-insert of Spencer Bear for the TV show Supernatural.

Appearance

Kris is a relatively lanky person — they have freckles, long brown hair, and brown eyes that look red under certain light and reflect in the dark. They have scars on their face, arms, and hands from being turned, and then subsequently from surviving in the wild. Kris's clothing style leans toward grunge, but they'll wear anything comfortable that will keep them warm — they prioritize function over fashion.

Personality

Kris tends to be pretty high-strung, a result of their experiences living in the wild, and as they are still adjusting to their heightened senses. She doesn't warm up to people very easily, but will become very attached to and protective of the people she cares about.

Before turning

Kris — Then known as Kristen — was a very friendly and adventurous kid. She loved playing in the woods, usually not heeding her parents' warnings to be careful.

After turning

Castiel brings a case to Sam and Dean: there have been sightings of a kid from Canada who has been missing for years, and who was presumed dead – Castiel assumes it's a ghost and suggest they all go check it out. They get there and eventually realize that it's not a ghost, but actually a werewolf. The werewolf is Kris, who has been hiding in the shadows since she was turned. After a initial encounter, Sam, Dean, and Castiel realize that Kris is not a major threat, and decide bring her to Garth. He takes her under his wing (paw?) and basically adopts her.

Castiel

Kris is very attached to Castiel, and they keep in close contact with regular phonecalls. They'll also text, but it took Castiel a minute to get used to it.

Claire Novak

Kris and Claire are pretty close, with Claire almost being like Kris' younger sister. They bicker like siblings, but they do really care for eachother.

Jack Kline

Kris finds Jack endlessly fascinating, and Jack enjoys having Kris around. They act like siblings, with Kris being the older sibling and Jack being the younger — regardless of their actual ages.

Trivia

  • After turning, they switched their name from 'Kristen' to 'Kris' as a way of saying "that version of myself is dead and gone, and I'm someone new now." It's also gender-related but I'm not sure how aware of that Kris is.
  • Kris isn't purposely named after the DELTARUNE character, but I feel like they'd be kindred spirits.
